- I have run into a problem, I have been unable to resolve. I have two
- machines. One is a A4000, one is a A2000. On my A4000, I have a fastlane
- scsi card, on my A2000 I have BOTH a dataflyer and a A2091 controller. I can
- install my zip drive on my A4000 and not have a problem. I can do:
-
- On my A4000:
-
- The critter installs without a hitch, I do NOT have to use the ziptools to
- format a drive OR use ziptools to eject a disk. I can use the eject button to
- my hearts desire and not have any problems. I also do NOT have to use RDB
- method of formatting. Disk swapping occurs "effortlessly".
-
-
- On my A2000:
-
- I MUST use ziptools to eject a disk. I can't use WB to format the drive. I
- must use ZIPTOOLS to format the drive. If I use the EJECT button on the
- drive, it causes major problems (r/w errors). I also HAVE to use RDB method
- of formatting. Disk swapping is a PAIN (must be done with tools).
-
-
- What are the differances? Does it boil down to the fastlane card being the
- differance? Does anyone have a zip drive working on a A2000 (with A2091)
- without having the problems I have outlined?
